OK, so it was announced that Microsoft was going to allow Xbox 360 owners to use Paypal as another payment option. I actually thought this was pretty cool, as I have a Paypal account and use it for many things.
Now it appears that as the update has been released, there are some problems. The one that caught my eye was the new updates problem with some older consoles.
An unconfirmed statement from Microsoft shows they know of this problem and how to fix it.
"Following a recent update to our system software, we have become aware of an issue that is preventing a very small number of Xbox 360 owners from playing retail game discs."
"This issue manifests itself as a unique 'disc unreadable' or 'disc unsupported' error on the screen. We are also able to detect this issue over Xbox LIVE and are proactively reaching out to customers that may be impacted to replace their console."
Wait, let me look at that again, yes it does say if you are having this problem, the fix is to replace your console. Hey Microsoft how about giving those of use with older systems a break. I mean all of us using the older systems are probably the ones that have carried your company till now. So, why not just put out an update that doesn't screw up my console and make disks unreadable.
Any thoughts? I'd like to hear them...
