Call of Duty: Modern Wafare 2, Had record setting results, selling more then 12 million copies. Activision still couldn't make a profit. The company's losses grew to around $300 million in the last few months of 2009 due to accounting changes and a big decline in the value of its music games and some Nintendo Wii titles..

Thats kinda hard to believe. How do you sell the amount of games they do and not make money. Strange to say the least...

So, off one title, they made at least $720 million ($60 per game), and they didn't profit? Obviously, the accounting changes were much needed. Hey Activision.... "Here's yer sign."
