It's Not Camping
In Modern Warfare 2 players are always complaining about campers. Well, in my opinion, it's not camping, it's strategic postitioning. I know it's quite annoying to be killed by the same person over and over again but because of their strategic camping they play a very good game. The point is, if you keep being killed by a camper then quit going after him...

I agree with Bobby 100%.
I hear a lot of gamers complaining about campers in MW2 ? people who stay in one spot and get several kills or more each time they spawn in. But, as a camper, I felt the need to set the record straight.
Too often, if you don't camp, you run into an area of the map and get sniped or killed. Rarely does a run-and-gunner live longer than 20 seconds. Why? Because the more you move, the more easily others can see you.
So, if you get tired of dying or get frustrated because one guy always seems to kill you, attach a silencer to your weapon and follow these simple instructions:
1. Take a deep breath. Your reflex time is decreased when your muscles are rigid.
2. Think "Mellllow" thoughts.
3. Find a corner or someplace where it would be difficult for someone to sneak up behind you.
4. Your camping spot should enable you to see a wide range of areas on the map without moving much.
5. Keep your site or scope up to your eye, but always be watching the peripherals as well (outside the scope)
6. If you get a bead on someone in the distance, only fire if you know you can kill them.
7. If an enemy passes through your peripheral view, only shoot if you can hit them in the back or the head.
By following these instructions and using a silenced weapon, your kill/death ratio will skyrocket. You may not end up with tons of kills each game, but in my opinion, an 8-2 game looks better than a 20-16 game, and it looks a lot better than a 8-25 game.
The greatest reward will come when someone on the other team, in the lobby after the game, asks you
"Where the hell were you?" And, your response will be "In the bush."
And, you'll have more fun and be less frustrated.
Happy Camping!

BendingLamb, you run and gun every game you noob. I remember a game where you went 25-52.
Anyway, I always camp. Or rather, I always snipe which, I suppose, is a type of camping. From my experience, if you're on a death streak and feeling frustrated, the best thing to do is drop a claymore and hide. You feel better getting that kill =).
This is for all those snipers out there. Word of advice only use a silencer to get the heartbeat senser because if you're going to shoot someone you might as well make sure that it is a one-shot-kill unless it is a semiautomatic weapon like the M21 EBR or the WA2000. Also Dont use an ACOG scope unless a. its a small map. b. you are a good quick scoper. c. you have a high sensitivity. Use thermals on large maps, ACOGS on small and normal scopes on the rest. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not camp with an ACOG scope.
